Dropping schemas from the database

Dropping a schema from the database deletes all objects and database portlets owned by the schema.

You must have the MANAGE ALL SCHEMAS global privilege to edit a database schema. By default, members of the DBA group have this privileges.

To drop a schema from the database:

  1. In the Oracle Portal Navigator, navigate to the list of schemas.

  2. The Name column on the Database Objects tab contains a list of all schema in the database. In the Name column, scroll down to the schema you want to drop.

  3. The Actions column lists privileges you have on the schema. Click Drop.

  4. A message asks you to confirm that you want to delete the schema. Click Yes.
