You can make a will in favor of the Red Cross in several ways:

• To allocate a percentage of the inheritance to Red Cross, for example, 2%.
• Make a specific legacy in favor of Red Cross.
• Appoint Red Cross as sole heir of all your assets or as co-heir in case there are other heirs

Examples of legacies:

• Of a dwelling, a land or a rustic farm.
• Cash or deposited in the bank.
• Equity, mutual funds or life insurance.
• Other goods such as jewelry, works of art, furniture, etc..

How will my legacy affect my potential heirs?

In making a legacy we should not worry that it may prejudice the rights of our heirs (those who by law are entitled to receive their share of the inheritance), since by legal imperative they will respect their rights as legitimate, as well that we can rest easy in deciding how to distribute the rest of our heritage.

How will the Red Cross use my legacy?

All assets received by the Red Cross will be used to develop and finance in whole or in part any of the projects, programs or activities that the Red Cross carries out in favor of the most vulnerable groups and which are in force at that time. If it is not cash, Red Cross will be responsible for finding the best buyer for the goods and will allocate the resulting income to projects that are being developed.
