This program distributes food free of surplus production from the European Union to the most vulnerable population.

The Food for Solidarity project is developed by the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM), through the Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA).

The distribution of food is carried out by the Spanish Red Cross (CRE) and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL).

The beneficiaries are individuals or family groups with a precarious economic situation and difficulties to access the basic means of survival
